FAQ

What happens in your studio?

Using your source material (photographs, drawings, or simply a concept) I work with you to bring your idea to life. Most studio work now starts out with a digital component and is finished with custom options ranging from fine art paper choices to silkscreened overlays, collage compositions, and frameless mounting.

What do I need to get started?

Many projects begin with 5 or 6 photographs and sketches, or a scan of a painting. I will give you suggestions about image resolution and size. I have made 22” prints from cell phone snaps.

How do I get my photographs to Angeles Press?

For best results, please bring your images to the studio on a thumb drive. We also use Dropbox with excellent results. I can extract pictures from your cell phone here in the studio.

What is the optimum resolution for enlargement?

300 DPI TIFF file at 10 MB. Please call me if you have any questions.

What is the size range for prints?

We can print sheets from 8.5” x 11 to 30 x 40, and from paper rolls 42” wide. A minimum order may apply to speciality paper choices.

How long will it take to print my photograph?

We can print your photographs right away if required.

For complex projects, please allow 2-4 weeks to schedule and complete your order. Mounting and framing requires 10 days.

Do I need an appointment?

I offer a complimentary consultation. I can spend more time with you if I know when you are coming.
